One of the most interesting places during this trip is Dirang which is one of the Monpa stone villages in Arunachal. Amidst the picturesque backdrop of Arunachal Pradesh’s verdant valleys, its traditional stone and wood structures exude rustic charm. Intricate carvings adorn every corner, captivating the visitors with its timeless beauty. Monpa stone villages offer glimpses into the rich heritage and way of life of the indigenous Monpa tribe.

A few hours away from Dirang, cradled amidst the lofty Himalayas of Arunachal, lies Tawang. Its uniqueness lies in the harmonious blend of Tibetan and Monpa cultures, reflected in its vibrant festivals, intricate handicrafts, and mouthwatering cuisine. The iconic Tawang Monastery perched atop a hill at an altitude of 10,000 feet, stands as a testament to the region’s spiritual heritage. While traveling from Dirang to Tawang, we drive through Sela Pass which is situated at an altitude of 13,700 feet. It connects Tawang to the rest of Arunachal Pradesh. We may have to change the route of the itinerary or sightseeing at the last moment if any obstacles such as road blockages, strikes, etc occur.
Due to the remoteness & terrain of the region, the WiFi/ Mobile network could be limited or zero many times, on our trip route.
Powers supply cuts could be expected. Although, they are more frequent during winters in Arunachal Pradesh.
For Photography/ Videography sometimes a certain amount of donation/community fees needs to be paid to the villagers. This amount is to be paid by the guest on a direct basis.
Museums and other places of sightseeing in Arunachal Pradesh sometimes could be closed without any prior notice. In such situations, the best alternative options will be offered.
There are limited hotel options on this trail in Arunachal Pradesh, and even the best accommodations in these areas are only standard in the category and cannot be compared to any star-category accommodation. Please be mentally prepared to avoid any last-minute disappointment. Also, all the hotels do not have lifts.
